Personally, I can't stand the Timeline, but well, I want to still be on Facebook because there's a couple games I LOVE on here, plus my dear friends, plus, well my couponing & blogging. Although I may not post much due to different things, I try my best to post when I can under my circumstances.
I still haven't gotten use to the new Timeline on my personal profile, I still can't find everything, nor have I figured everything out on it.
However, I'd like to share this with you so that when you are suddenly changed to the new Timeline, forced on us by Facebook, here's one page that is a smidge helpful as the Timeline 'tour' itself just well, isn't good enough. It's very vague and doesn't tell you exactly how to do things. So see this here: Timeline help to help you understand your 'Activity Log'. I will post more as I find it.
